Possible impact of expansion on the coaching search?

Most of the conversation regarding expansion has been on football and the addition of a conference championship game. What impact if any do see the possible expansion having on our coaching search.

Does the expansion make basketball in the B10 more appealing?

Good question. I could imagine that it might make a Big East coaching position that is not in the expansion talk look a little less appealing.

If there is an impact of expansion on a coaching search, I would think it would be in Barta's wallet as that means more money coming into the Big Ten coffers down the line due to the BTN

more money going into ath depts is always more appealing from the perspective of potential employees of said depts

Speaking of money I read yesterday that the buy out of 2,400,000 is in the form of 3 annual payments at 800,000. It might seem like a small difference but in reality it's pretty huge.

First it allows the buyout to be paid out of cash flow and operating revenues as opposed to money in the bank today. Second (and most important) increasing attendance by 2k per game (which seems definately possible) will generate at least 800,000 in revenue per year.
