Poor shootiing

I guess my friends and I saw a different game than most of you. Iowa did not play well in many ways, but poor shooting was the reason they lost. They had plenty of good shots that just would not go in. If just a few of those shots would have gone in it would have been a close game. I think after a while the team got frustrated by not making shots and it effected the rest of there game.

yay, someone else besides me actually watched the game!

I don't care how well you coach, how good your effort is, how athletic you are when you cannot put the ball in the hole there is no way you can win. The bad shooting became contagious and they were missing wide open looks. You could see the frustration written all over their faces. Your starting 5 made a grand total of 8 baskets for the game and not a single 3 point basket!

"....there's more to the game than shooting. There's fundamentals and defense."

Tell me what fundamentals you seen we were missing? Iowa won the turnover battle by a wide margin. Yeah they left Young open a few times they shouldn't have on defense but when you are struggling that bad on offense it is going to carry over to your defensive game. They missed wide open shots, if the team even hits 40% of them they are in the game.
