Just goes to show that either some of the voters don't watch any of the game (including highlights or ESPN's ticket) or they are finally giving the Hawks some credit for the tremendous comeback.

Agreed. Most of the coaches (or assistants that fill out the ballot for the coach) probably just saw the score and see we won by 18.

I guarantee that most voters just took a glance at 42-24 before making their decision. Otherwise they would have noticed ESPN doing EVERYTHING it could to make it look terrible for Iowa.

Why do I feel like I'm the only one behind this team? Please tell me there are others out there. Did they have a bad quarter? YES, Absolutely! Did they have a fantastic awesome fourth quarter? YES! Do they deserve a high ranking? YES, YES!!!

This was our biggest deficit of the year, AND our BIGGEST margin of VICTORY! If it was any of the other top five teams, especially Florida, they would be saying how awesome that team is and so dominant for being able to come back. The truth is, I think if there were SIX turnovers committed by ANY OTHER TEAM, they would lose the game, no matter who the opponent.

I believe in this team fully. Yet an 18 point win and we still suck according to media people and apparently some Hawkeye fans that I talk to last night????

USC dropped from 4 to 13 in the coaches' poll.

Now, Iowa's points percentage with the coaches is now .787, which is up .0508 from last week. Meanwhile, Texas is .9457, which is only an increase of .0034. Alabama, who was idle last week, lost .0061 percentage points in the coaches' poll. We're gaining on both in the coaches' poll, but is it enough when combined with the computers (we might take a small hit) and the Harris poll (we might increase there, too)?

I'm not concerned about the AP; it doesn't count at all in the BCS (though it does help to inform many of the voters in the other polls). I'm glad we gained ground on Texas and expect us to do so in the Harris Poll as well. I also think that likely continues in the upcoming weeks.

Have I missed something or is the Worldwide Leader in Sports smoking something? Take a look at the Roady's Humanitarian, which they claim is WAC vs. Mountain West. One guy has Iowa St. playing in that bowl and the other has Northwestern. I guess we can ignore their anti-Iowa stuff, as their "experts" clearly have no idea what is going on.
