looking for confirmation on this....the DMReg ran a blurb the other day, stating something about ISU AD Pollard making a comment to Clone fans at a bowl rally in Tempe along the lines of "not being put in the closet lately". that was obvioulsy a swipe at T Tech and the Mike Leach/Adam James issue. However, I have been told that ISU Prez Geoffery (sp?) told a gathering of Clone fans at a bowl rally in Tempe how proud he was of the behavior of ISU players and fans during their stay, everyone has been well behaved, reminded them how classy they are, etc. My question is......Did this go down at the SAME rally? Pollard is a tool. Go Hawks!

That could have been a little back door message for players that both Tech and ISU are going after...ISU has to use anything and everything they can to get a leg up in recruiting battles
iahawk20.....nothing wrong with the DMReg quoting pollard....just think that was not in good taste on pollards part to make light of the situation at tech. it's none of his business and ISU has been known to have a little controversy of their own every so often.... and to have the school president get on his sopa box and talk about what a first-class organization ISU is, how well they have behaved in tempe, no one has been arrested, the city of phoenix thinks they are wonderfull, blah blah blah. just seems like pollard made an a$$ out of himself (again).

Pollard is a tool. During their first game (clowns), at a half time interview, he took a swipe at Iowa (wishing good luck to UNI). I can't imagine an Iowa AD making a statement like he did when talking about HIS OWN program during HIS OWN game.

I would think Hawk fans wouldn't have any problem with that...I thought he was more classless when he said something about "When we send a few bus loads of players to help out in Parkersburg, it's called a charitable act...when Iowa does it, it's called work release"...but in any case, he's talking to his own fanbase...he doesn't need to be PC to the rest of the world. Kind of like how we ate it up when Matt Roth gave LSU the double bird...I'm not so sure anyone else found it to be classy.
