The northwestern game looks like a tough one. When it is all said and done it looks like a typical ferentz 8 and 5 season.
 
We win one more. I'm bookmarking this post. Northwestern beats us (again) and Nebraska beats us like Purdue just did by outscoring us with huge plays that make our secondary look foolish.

I'd take that bet. I said before we will be favored in all 3 games by 7 points or more and probably double digits. Now gurus like you are shocked we're favored by 10 points against NW. Sure, we could lose a game, anything can happen, but if you are saying we'll lose two, that's unlikely. I'd take that bet.

Also, Nebraska is 100th in total defense. That's their problem. There's a reason they are 2-7. They suck. Beating Bethune Cookman doesn't change that.

I feel the same way. Illinois is the only game out of the three Iowa will win.

And you can quote me on that.
 
Lose to the decent team, beat the bad teams. Yawn.

Actually, winning all 3 of those would still be a yawn. 9-3 w/ "big" wins against ISU & NW...

That's not what my comment was in response to. It was in response to why HN posters have gone from presuming we just needed to get past Purdue to win out to presuming we'll lose this weekend. We've seen these choke artists play another game now. Vegas was not part of the conversation in my response.

Illinois, only. Northwestern is better and Nebraska is improving. Iowa is just mediocre, reverting back to the 7-5 historical average.
 
My brother made fun of me before the Purdue game, when I informed him this season is starting to look eerily like 2010 - then Saturday's result did nothing to dissuade that thought. And if this is the reincarnation of 2010 (one season Kirk Ferentz did not ever want brought back), the bad game losses have not yet ended. Our final regular season game that year was against a Minnesota team that already was setting up ice fishing spots on frozen lakes. In a game we couldn't possibly lose, we lost anyway. We have two of those types of games left - Illinois and Nebraska. And while I am not yet predicting it, I am warning both the Hawks and Hawks fans - we'd better get our act together and soon, or we WILL lose both of those games.
 
Sad part is that we could win all 3 or lose all 3. You just never know with a KF lead ball club. I think we'll win 2 of 3.
 
I voted Illinois, because that is the only sure thing I see.

I expect we win all 3. But Im not betting on them.

10 points over NW is a joke. They always get up for Fitz's super bowl.
 
If I am being optimistic, I say they will beat Illannoy and lose one of the others. Maybe Stanley will play better now that all the pressure is off.:rolleyes:
