Lotta reasons we lost. What hurt us the most, in your opinion. Why?

Fans that show up and support this crapfest. Everyone should boycott a game to show their disgust with this year in/ year out attempt at playing in Yankee Stadium in December. I know...too many fans are OK with this coaching staff...PATHETIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't blame the coaching staff, I blame these fans!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was at the game and it goes back to the same thing all year. Leaving points on the field. Nate after getting a gift turnover at the 30 to start the game missed a wide-open Tracy cutting across the middle with no defender within 20 yards of him and Stanley passed to the back of the end zone on a low percentage pass, then on the next play he missed the tight end posting his man on the one-yard line, we settled for a field goal. Then Stanley fumbles the ball away after a great series running the ball. Next, we come out in the 2nd half and the defense gives Stanley the ball on the 40-yard line two times in a row and I believe we had 4 consecutive possessions in the third were we settled for a punt. That's why we lost...don't blame the D they were incredible. Don't blame the O-line and backs they picked up almost every blitz. Predictable play-calling and a couple of defensive breakdowns hurt us but man, you just have to find a way to score points earlier in the game. When Brian let Stanley stay back in shot-gun and throw the ball in the 4th Stanley was incredible. He was a gunslinger out there. Man, if there was ever a team that needs to open up the offense it's Iowa.

Failure to convert the Wisconsin fumble in the 1st quarter into 7 points rather than three. Iowa's fumble that Wisconsin turned into 7 points using a short field. Iowa could not afford a turnover in order to win and it didn't it is as simple at this. It's an 11 point swing when you consider it. I'm sad Iowa lost in what I consider a solid effort.

This. Against good teams you have to take rare turnovers and turn them into points.

Coupled with pass plays on 2nd and 3rd downs well short of the line to gain. It’s a rehash of GD and it’s fucking maddening. Or it would be if it weren’t so hilarious.

The Brain seems to think that receivers are good for 6-7 yards after the catch on 3rd and 8 so he sends a TE or slot receiver on a straight out route, by then there’s 3 defenders licking their chops. Not only does it not work, it’s demoralizing to receivers because you’re constantly setting them up for failure.

Unless you have an obvious numbers mismatch with DBs on the opposite side of the field getting drawn deep, that out route garbage is worthless. It has its place in 2nd and really short or to stop the clock, but Brain thinks he can chip away at teams like Wisconsin and Penn State 3 yards at a time. Guys like Chryst and Franklin see it and they read him like a fiddle.

The fucking guy calls plays like he thinks he gets five downs, it’s just mind-boggling.

We all knew what the game plan was going to be. We are going to do what we do and out execute them. Well that didn't work and we went down 21 to 6 and decided to open it up and things started to click. Should have come out slinging it from the get go. We all know with Kirk ball that ain't happening. We will have the same plan against Minny and everyone else we play. Minny knows that,Illinois knows that maybe Nebby doesn't because well their Nebby. 250 yards by Taylor didn't help either.

This. 1st and 8 and you get 3 points. Up 3-0, driving, on the opponent 45, and a non contact fumble.

Exactly this.

Well, and playcalling.

Sorry but I watched Goodson get tackled by half of an arm from one of Wisconsin's defensive lineman.

The man that needed more touches this game was Young. He was fkn punishing them!!!

LOL... I saw players all over the country get tackled like that all day yesterday Clown.. I agree with you on Toren he looked ready but Goodson is the real deal and needs more than 6 touches.

i don't know which of those things hurt us the most, yesterday, and it's probably all the above. but i can tell you what hurts ME the most and that is we are 1-12 in conference, with brian ferentz as OC and NS as qb, against teams the finish their season .500 or better. forget about ranked teams, we can only beat sub .500 teams in the B1G. that's pussy football. are you kidding me? 20 years in and we can only beat the bottom feeders in our conference?

Happy birthday devil dog. I'm riding the struggle bus today...started a brisket on the smoker last night, passed out and found it cold this morning. At least the dog will have a nice meal.

I haven't seen a better a drive all season than the one we fumbled on the snap.... I just don't understand why we never went back to Young???!!!! He was a man on a mission, and that mission was moving the ball and trucking fools.

We could use your comments to describe the majority of Iowa performances vs good teams in the conference in the Nate Brian era. An inaccurate QB who is prone to panic, an OC who should be cutting his teeth at Northwestern...in Orange City, Iowa. A head coach who is as immobile as Stanley, punch drunk with a Walmart notepad and pencil along the sidelines.

For THIS game, we stop Taylor on their last possession and get a quick 3 and out, we had a chance to win. When the coaching staff called timeout after Taylor gained 7/8 yards on the first down ... game over

He was great! Maybe playing with a chip ue to all the Taylor talk.... curious what he averaged per carry. My guess is is he said something to the coach? or missed a block? I don't know why he got sidelined after the exchange fumble.

I just feel like yelling F! over and over again this morning...
