Who is cool with the OUTLAW declaring early and then skipping the Bowl? Maybe the trifecta: JJ; DK and the OUTLAW can all skip the bowl? Cuz, you know, everyone who might get drafted should skip the bowl game.

Just so we're clear, Deano says, "I like this recruit from Wisconsin. He'll be a great fit for the Iowa program. He's got character and puts the team first and isn't a prima donna me me me like those Texas boyz."

Um, where did I say this? The only thing that I thinks suck from the whole Eno thing was losing Holmes. I'd much rather have holmes than Cooper.....but we don't have Holmes, so I'll root for Cooper just as hard.

I blasted idiot posters saying Willies left because of KF.
I'm sure I probably said some things I shouldn't have about Willies. In hindsight if he feels it is best for him to quit 5 games into a season, it is his life he needs to do what he needs to do for him.
Like I said though, 95% of my blasting was of the idiots blaming KF.

Well if DK were the creature you are he would follow your advice. But he isn't cuz he's not. I guess donors shouldn't exist because greed should prevent them from giving to the U. I'm glad there are still a few people with a personal code of honor left in this world who cherish special moments with the guys they've shed blood, sweat and tears with.
Thanx DK for coming back. And thanx Hawkeyenation for reminding me that the people who counseled DK to forgo riches and return for his senior year are the same people telling him to skip the bowl game for the sake of riches.

Pro career? He is on pass-happy Texas Tech and had only 18 catches this year. That puts him tied for 8th in catches and 7th in yards on a 5-7 team that's not going to a bowl game. And guess what? Texas Tech returns 7 of the 8 and the one that graduates was a wide receiver and was 5th in catches.
And before you start putting our offense down, with the same number of catches he would have placed 6th on our team.... right behind Matt Vandeberg's 19, and Matt only played 4 games.

But one thing I did hear that kind of concerned me coming into work, I heard a national media figure just talk about bowl games and a guy playing in a meaningless game and that does concern me a little bit. I think sometimes maybe people aren’t aware of what their word choice can suggest.
You know, as a college coach, I think all of us have experienced when you play in bowl games, that is an important thing. It’s really important to the participants, and I think it’s true of all games. I’ve coached in the NFL, I’ve coached 27 years here now in a couple different capacities, I coached in what used to be I-AA football and it was for the academy, Worcester Academy. If we lined up and played, it was important to the team, whether we might have had 38 players, the 42 parents that might have been there, that type of thing. It’s really been no different at any level, if you line up and play, games are important.
I don’t think the person that said that meant anything by it but it’s one of the fears that I have about the playoff system and the concept of expanding. It’s almost as if you’re not in the playoff system, everything else doesn’t count, and I think a lot of people are missing the boat on that one

Your last paragraph doesn't make any sense. Why would you think they are the same people? There were plenty of people on here that thought King should skip his senior year. I would bet anything that those are the people thinking he should skip the bowl now.
