The Iowa defense in the 4th Q created a turnover. The Iowa offense comes out and has a false start by one of the O tackles. Here is what Ed said, or better yet yelled on the radio..........

"WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS OFFENSE?!?!?"

You could just hear the frustration in his voice. I think we Hawk fans all can relate to that quote.
 
I love Ed, but he should really expect to see what is happening right now. Iowa's offense has been very poor for the better part of the last 18 years.
 
Yeah it's strange that as good as Kirk is at building offensive lines... he can't create offense consistently that keeps up with the rest of college football.

Perhaps... but we have more offensive linemen drafted in the NFL then any other college football team the last decade or something like that.

Soooo yeah what I said about historically underperforming offenses doesn't change.
 
Several of the penalties were complete bunk, most of all on the Daniels TD. The offensive line played well today. Iowa moved the ball well on the ground with 193 yards that were counted, plus what ever was lost by the bunk chop block call. Wadley averaged 7 yards per carry, I'd like to calculate what Daniels should have had too. CJB was also good with running the ball when it was needed today. His bootleg to get Iowa out of the whole on the 99 yard drive was huge!

Pretty much. Most talented QB since Chuck Long. Best pair of RBs in years.

17.5 scoring average against a I-AA and B1G bottom feeder.

This is not a good football team. Today's game was a discrace and I don't care that we won. Another embarrassment on national television. If their best player (their running back) doesn't go down we lose this game.
 
Any 14 point road Big 10 win where they hold the opponents to 7 points is not an embarrassment. I may be an old fashion guy, but I love slobber knockers like these where they punch the opponent in the mouth!
