I remember the days of Ed Horton, AC Earl, Les Jepsen, Reggie Evans, Chris Street, Chris Kingsbury, Andre Woolridge, Jeff Horner, Greg Brunner, Jeff Moe, Ryan Bowen, Jess Settles. Where are you guys, we have nobody like you. Where is the fight, the energy, the connection to the fans. I miss you. We need you.

I'm old enough to remember these guys:

Let's see, broken program, low profile recruits by a coach with a reputation of being able to re-build programs. If you think Iowa has been rebuilt, you are sadly mistaken. Fran has done a great job given the craphole he was handed and if he doesn't get run out of town by tool bags, it will get back there.

I think even today, Fran gets far more out of his talent than what most coaches would. Patience is a virtue this board does not have, but loves having expectations for a team that had major issues heading into the season, but one of those wasn't defense and this team plays little of that, so why again would you expect a different result after throwing in that lack of defense factor?

The 1970 and and 1980 team, both were national champion potential. Just did not work out.

I love our current team, so ..... concerned over mental toughness. Eddy, eddy Horton.... please help

I don't know if this has been posted here yet, but it's a fantastic read. It came shortly after the McCabe situation. You can right click and hit view image and it will come up in a separate window and be easier to read, you will also be able to zoom in.

I disagree, politely. Did you ever experience these teams? I grew up listening io the radio. I lived it. This team, and coaching staff, politely, is simply not there........ Toughness..... Ask these guys what it means, they lived it. Kevin Gamble, on and on . Not this team and every team, every team, every team, is a reflection of its coach. No wonder NW won tonight.

I'm old enough to remember this team, which included the 'Fab Five.' Sharm Scheuerman, Bill Seaberg, Carl Cain, Bill Schoof, and Bill Logan

Sporttalent, you act like a long life hawkeye. I have been one since putting scrap books together of the 1969 team. I know Iowa basketball. This team has no "man". It is frightening how weak this team is. Ultimate responsibility - yes you know who gets paid $2.0 million.
