UPDATE: My in-laws found some tickets. THANK YOU to those in this community who reached out to me! Hawkeye fans are the best! Another example of how there still are good people in this world. Merry Christmas all!
Hi all! I want to buy some for my in-laws (retired teachers and life-long Hawkeye fans). 30 years ago, they took their young family to the 1986 Rose Bowl, and created a special memory that all still talk about today.
My husband and his brother hatched a plan to make the same trip (with spouses/kids), if the opportunity arose this year. They asked their parents if they would like to participate at the planning stage, and they said no due to expense and possible scheduling conflict. Well, when the time came, the sons excuted the plan and got just enough tickets for us (end field, nosebleed section).
After the fact, the in-laws are so in love with the Rose Bowl, they decided to come, and stay with us (no additional cost), hoping to get cheap tickets on the street. I don't think that will happen, so I am trying to find reasonably priced tickets, so that they can be part of the re-created memory, 30 years to the day. I know that will be so special for them, as well as their sons, and grand-sons. Maybe you can help me?
