Assuming Garza comes back and barring injuries......what can derail Iowa from having a special season other than the rona?

Does Iowa go after the one and done kids very hard? It seems to me that an occasional one year player could be disruptive to the continuity of the program versus a continual line of them like a Duke or Kentucky level program where the next class fills in for the prior year’s class. Is this legitimate or just a rationalization for Iowa not getting these guys?
