Please Iowa fans, don't act like KC fans...

I could see this happening, if JVB should get hurt, Iowa fans cheering..ala KC fans....I hope we're better than that...
just remember, this is the same QB that led that awesome comeback against Pitt....he's got "it" in him....stay behind our QB fans,
I beg you not to let this turn into another Jake C. situation....

I highly doubt that would happen.

I doubt it would happen too. First, I don't think most fans are at that level of hatred. Compared to JC6 in 2008 JVB hasn't been hearing any boos at all. Second, I think a majority of our fanbase has more common sense than cheering our own injured player.

I don't think that would happen.

But I think Rudock would be greeted with a great round of applause.

I hope there arn't any embarrassing signs refering to the Penn State scandals. That would be a classless move on Iowa's part.

I wish the stadium would be full of them.

I'm immature enough to actually sort of agree with you, DT. Most PSU fans I know are arrogant arses, didn't get it when the Sandusky scandal broke and still don't. I also think it would be great if the Iowa student section began a chant "WE ARE PE-DO STATE" that was so loud it could be heard through the telecast's crowd noise filters.

Very un-charitable of me, I know, but, it is Penn State...

lets call it what it is. IF JV is the best QB to have out on our field than we are in pretty bad shape, not just now but for the future. JV got sacked six times in the first game and since then I am not sure if it has been sacked once. That's not all good. He has been rushing everything and there's open receivers getting missed. JV used to only feel comfortable on the home field and could perform at times. Now that he is trying to make up for the slow start he cant even do that and its showing! The seasons half over, I am sure he is a great guy and I may purchase insurance through him some day and we can reminisce about the 4th quarter of the Pitt game. There is never a need to cheer unless the coaches refuse to do the right thing until there hand is forced. Please tell me the words and phrases you were using in this post are there for sarcasm???

Certainly a few tavern hawks scattered around the stadium would do that, but not enough fans to be audible on TV.

Maybe I have been poisoned by spending time here instead of going to games for the past 3 years, but with my data at hand, we have man loud and stupid fans who would take delight, nee, glee in a Vandenberg injury.

I could. You think it's hard to imagine a bunch of liquored up, game-thread coaches-in-the-stands wouldn't do this?

I have been a lot of games in Kinnick Stadium, and all but a couple of the night games in the history of said stadium I have watched dozens of players for both Iowa and the opponent get injured. I have never seen someone cheer the injury. That would be a first.

Sooooo.......are you telling us that the BIG10INCH is behind JVB?

I was listening to the Gopher announcers for the first half of the Iowa/Minnesota game. They mentioned that JV was getting booed at the start of the game.

If that is in fact the case, I would expect that after his performance against MSU + 7pm game to go 3-0, and a lot of booze flowing that he may hear some pretty loud booing after his first poor pass which will most likely be very early on in the game.

I would be surprised to hear people cheer an injury though.

I'm not sure that Gopher was at the Iowa game. I heard no such thing.
