Can this be right? Amazing that Iowa won. Talk about bend but don't break (or bend and let Armstrong screw up).

Iowa, for the most part, didn't make mistakes. Mistakes cost you. If nebby had a competent QB it could of very well been a blow out win for them.

Well, in the 3rd quarter they couldn't tackle us. Would people be happier if it took us 12 plays instead of 1 play to score? In the 4th quarter, we were in prevent, so they ran a lot of plays. Really not that big of a deal. The biggest worry out of all of that is the fact that we couldn't extend drives, going 0-9 on 3rd down.

As KF said, you have to look at the scoreboard. Iowa was very efficient on scoring chances and the hawks totally won the turnover battle.

The hawks had some bad field position in the second half which also contributed to conservative play while having a two score lead.

Gameplan worked great. Make tommy beat you, make him execute again and again. He turned it over just like the coaches expected.

CJ was not very accurate with his throws. O'fer on 3rd downs makes for fewer plays, but as Kirk says this isn't gymnastics. No points for style. 12-0 and playing for BIG10 title. Go Hawks.

Hesse- INT for TD- 0 plays
Canzeri- 29 yd td run- 2 play drive
Canzeri- 68 yd td run- 1 play drive

3 TD's 3 offensive plays. Don't need to run a lot of plays with that kind of efficiency.

The forty-four plays is the second fewest by a winning team this season. Also, the Hawks became only the fourth team to win this season without converting a third down.
