I said this in another thread, but if there ends up being 4 super-conferences, I think they should keep the 4 BCS bowls and the conference championships would be the first round. The winners play each other in two bowls, the losers would go to the other two bowls. If a non AQ school is is ranked in the top 4, and one of the conference winners is below 6th, they bump that team down to the consolation BCS bowls and then the lowest ranked conference champ loser gets bumped to a capone type bowl. Not perfect I know, but neither is any system that we currently have and this allows a playoff format with as many as 8 teams or more with out adding anything more than a +1 type scheduling.
