A playoff system they say will take away from the bowl system. I think the real reason is that it takes money away from the BCS bowl towns. Here is a proposal.
16 Team bracket
First Round game sites: Dallas, Tampa, Houston, San Diego, Indianapolis, Atlanta, Seattle, St. Louis. This puts games in main cities around the country.
Quarterfinal Sites: Pasadena, Phoenix, New Orleans, Miami-puts a game in each BCS bowl town
Semi-Final Site: either pick two towns from above or have one town host semi's and finals. So it could be Phoenix this year and they host semi's and final game. This would make the week before the final just like superbowl week. The host city would rotate among just BCS cities or among all cities. So you could have the final in many different cities or in only 4 like it is now.
Also shorten reg season to 11 games and this puts max games at 15 which is only one more than many play now. Get rid of conference champ games. That is why I put first round games in some of the championship game cities like atlanta.
