Play of the game`

Interception return? Nope.
Coker for 62? Nah.
3rd and 3, and we pass somehow catching them totally off guard? Close but no.

The play of the game was when McNutt caught a ball for a major gain and CLEARLY landed out of bounds. Instead of thumbing through our entire playbook to find the perfect next play as we did against Wisconsin, we actually hurried up to the line and ran a total dud. Too late to review a call that would have certainly been over turned.

It seems we now have the "oh ****, get the ball up there and do something with it before these morons realize they made the wrong call and blow it dead for a review" play!

Sorry Bruce gotta go with the pick six. Flipped the game around when it was slipping away. It was a good play though and unexpected. I don't remember if I have ever seen us do that. Can't remember if we got a td or a field goal out of it.

The coaching was as good as it's been in awhile. I was never one of those fans who ragged on the coaching, but they coached a near flawless game. That play was one of those 'under-the-radar' decisions that made the small differences....there were many more.

I'm not sure how anyone could say he was CLEARLY out of bounds. None of the replays I saw indicated he was CLEARLY out of bounds.

ESPN. They showed many after the next play and I wasn't convinced by any of them that you could say he was CLEARLY out.

Anyone have a picture of video of it?

I think the play of the game may have been the pick in the end zone at end of 1st half. Certainly Mizzou would have gotten 3 and prolly 6 if not for the pick. Great D by Prater and awareness by Greenwood.......I think that may have been at least one of the key plays of the game.

The OP is simply saying that there were many big plays that were obvious and is pointing to one that could easily be overlooked but that was potentially significant. That quick play was smart and important, so good call by the OP.

But I'd like to add one that was perhaps THE play of the game, period: When Chaney turned D-back and batted down Ricky's pass that would have been an easy pick-six. A play that could easily be overlooked, but if Chaney doesn't make it, you could argue the game is lost. So props to Chaney for a great reaction on a potentially game-deciding play.
