Places to tailgate: Northwestern (Evanston)

I was wondering if anyone had any info on tailgating at Northwestern? I am taking a group of four guys this year and we are hoping to get there early and party first. We are hoping to be able to grill and drink, but I have no idea if this is possible there. Does anyone have any info on places that we might be able to tailgate?

Parking is pretty bad for NW. We found some parking lot about 4 blocks from the stadium and tailgated there.

Check with the NW message boards...after the usual jerks get done calling you names, some will provide info.
There are lots over by the lake off of Sheridan Rd where most Iowa fans tailgate,then take shuttle to Ryan Field.
We have driven in on Lake Ave. north of Ryan Field,and found parking in small lots in Wilmette,tailgated quietly,and walked maybe 8-10 blocks to the Field. Nice,leafy neighborhood in November for a stroll.
