Phil Parker actually made an adjustment

After the first qtr jet sweep by wisky that went for about 30+ yards (where there was blatant holding in open space by the ball carrier) the hawks made a nice adjustment to shut down that play. The adjustment I noticed was Snyder sliding to the jet sweep motion side and a lbkr moving a step or two wider to the direction of the motion. It was a very good adjustment.

But overall wisky making 8 of 17 third down conversions and Iowa only 2 of 13 was pretty much the game. Parker didnt make enough adjustments or the players couldnt cover Umgawale (spelling??) coming out of the backfield. Paul Chryst and his OC are geniuses compared to Iowa and really kept mixing up their offense. I saw little run blitzing or blitzing period, a few raider packages, but overall their receivers were open, etc. hawks much better against the run overall which will keep them in games.

Face it though, the Iowa linebacker play overall along with the safety play is not close to what it needs to be. I will just mention a few names and you can add to the list: Considine, Pagel, Sash, Greenwood, Hodge, Greenway, Angerer, and Edds, etc etc.

This is on the coaches as far as recruitment and development and perhaps trying some new players.
