Persa rehab ahead of schedule

I tore my achilles 10 months ago playing basketball. I've worked hard in my rehab, but it's still not there. It's a fact that the tendon is never 100% again (maybe 95% or so).

I don't think he will have quite the shiftiness he did before, but it will probably be enough for our same 4 man rush on each play. Persa makes some good decisions, knowing he won't face much pressure.

If we are to beat them (as we should), we must focus on confusing Persa through blitzing, fake blitzing, disguising coverages, etc. We wouldn't have to do this much. Just enough to make him think more.

Kalin Lucas, pg for MSU, tore his achilles tendon last Feb,and he clearly has not yet shown the same explosiveness on the court. Persa will not be as elusive next year, which is a big deal for him,a short qb that has to escape pressure to find throwing lanes, and to run for yardage on qb runs.
His elusiveness is one of his difference-making attributes...and he will not be the same player without it.
