According to ESPN, Perry Ellis is not considering the Hawks anymore.

The Iowa Hawkeye basketball program is odd. They seemingly have done everything they possibly can to get the recruits here, but they are heading off for places like Arizona State, Rutgers, Penn State, Western Kentucky, etc. Obviously something isn't right... and I believe it has to be more than "Alford - Lickliter were bad coaches".

We should have the athletic dollar to support anything another school is affording. No reason for our coach to have harder time recruiting kids here than he did at Sienna. ABSOLUTELY NONE. Something else is going on that has not been released to the general public. Do the dorm rooms smell of ****? Does the dining facility serve government cheese? Having a hard time fielding a basketball team which only needs 8-10 players at a Div 1 Big Ten Team is just crazy! Wasn't too long ago kids were fighting for gigs like that.

First, This guy was an EXTREME long shot, anyway.

Second, Fran has been here for 6 months. The guys he's been recruiting he got in on late. You refer to Fant, well WKU has a top15 class and have been recruiting Fant since he was in Jr high. While 2011 recruiting may be rough, it should pick way up for next year considering he'll have been on those guys longer, in addition to the facilities being finished (or close) by signing day next year. Plus guys will have a year of seeing his coaching rub off on the team.

Step off the ledge and give it a little time. Now, if they are still in the same position 3 years from now, then I'll be right there with you, but for now, relax.
