Per Twitter: Zeller Going Pro

could have seen this coming. he did not progress at all this year and down the stretch was pretty ineffective. i was not that impressed watching zeller this year. he was helped out by the refs a ton. if you breathed on him they called a foul.

With Zeller and Oladipo gone, joining Ohio State's Deshaun Thomas, that is three of the five first team all Big Ten players from last year that have turned pro. Burke and Hardaway will probably join them. Burke will for sure. So here is my reshuffled B1G Power Rankings for next year, based on the players who have gone and assuming Burke is gone, but all other stay:

1. MSU: Payne and Harris have decisions. I think Harris stays...Payne a tossup
2. Michigan: If Hardaway, GRIII and McGary all stay, they will push for #1. I think Hardaway leaves though
3. Ohio State
4. Iowa: This is up one spot from last week, due to Indiana losses
5. Indiana: Perhaps I am being too kind here
6. Purdue
7. Wisconsin
8. Illinois
9. Minnesota
10. Penn State
11. Northwestern
12. Nebraska

Payne said he was staying after their loss to Duke, whether that holds remains to be seen though.

I think Minny may compete for the cellar.

They now have ZERO incoming commits so Junior Pitino has his work cut out to get a squad full of scholarship basketball players.

I believe they only have 8 right now.

If Burke and Hardaway leave, it's really MSU/OSU and then you could make an argument for any number of teams from spots 3-9 or 10. Iowa returns the most experience, but Indiana, Purdue and Illinois are bringing in very high-quality freshman. If one of those teams gets one of their talented freshman to have an impact like a Trey Burke, suddenly that vaults them into the picture.

I'm not as down on Wisconsin as others seem to be. Yes, they lose Brusewitz, Berggren and Evans. But they get Gasser back and Dekker will get a lot more minutes next year. I thought he was easily their most-talented player last year and will be very good with more minutes. I like the group of freshmen Bo has coming in next fall. If just one of the power forwards Wisky is bringing in is able to play right away, they could have what they need to be good. At center, Kaminsky is exactly the type of player who has thrived in Wisky's system. He has some outside shooting touch and is big (6-11) and I would expect him to significantly improve with more playing time. A player of Uthoff's skill set would really fit in nicely with the Badgers next year, I can see why Bo was peeved when Uthoff left, he knew that 2013-14 was the season Uthoff would have the chance to contribute.

The bottom of the league will be much better than it was this year. There may not be the number of quality teams at the top (outside of MSU) but the overall depth of good teams will be improved.

dont you dare blatantly disrespect the vadgers like that

Harris has also said he's staying...partially because of his shoulder issue. Nothing is ever for sure so...

Appling has a shoulder issue as well. Have to wonder if MSU's extra-physical style contributes to their guards having the shoulder problems.

IN's got to go down with so many losses this year. But they're going into 2013-2014 with, by my count, TWO 5* and FIVE 4* players. They'll be VERY inexperienced but with Ferrell leading the way, I wouldn't want to play them later in the season.

So...it's almost a guarantee that Iowa will play at Indiana on Senior Day after the team has had ample time to gel!

I think he will have a tough go of it in the nba. He will at a little due to hustle, play for a team or two but have a short career. IMO as always dirt heads

What postion will he play in the NBA guys? Im no expert but would think he would have to get a lot stronger to compete at the 4 or 5.
