Paulsen Twins Commit

Can someone in the know give us some info on these kids? Look to have good size. Glad they are staying home! Go Hawks!!

They're both pretty athletic for their size, too. I believe it was Landon who wrestled at the individual state tournament and took second at hwt. Levi wrestled hwt for the dual tournament because he had some kind of honor band performance or something that conflicted with the individual tournament but not the duals (overheard that he's a pretty gifted musician).
 
They were targeted and offered by the coaching staff very early. That is enough for me, as if the guys they target early at OL more times than not turn out pretty darn good.
 
See these guys helped land Beneventi. Think he decides to stick with his original commitment or does he still look around?

Probably still looks around, but hopefully decides to stick with Iowa. These two are huge gets. I know 1 currently is projected at OT which is a huge recruiting need for Iowa in this class.

They actually decided between each other that they would split time at hwt so neither had to cut down to 220. When they were sophomores Levi made the cut down but couldn't this year. So Landon wrestled the state series and Levi wrestled at State Duals. Levi was undefeated and never gave up an offensive point while Landon only had one loss, the state finals, in OT. Next year Levi will have his shot at the state title as Landon steps back. Shows you what kind of young men they are sacrificing their own dreams for each other.
 
Don't know the kids personally but as they are from my hometown I know the family. The Hawkeyes landed two solid, hard working, humble, blue collar beasts !

I'll take these qualities over some subjective "star rating" any day of the week. And twice on Saturday afternoons...
 
I wonder next February on signing day if Ferentz will hold a press conference and mock some cow pasture of a school in the middle of state who called a half dozen times or so the week before trying to get these kids to change their mind. Just wondering.

Nope. He'll release a youtube video about how proud he is.

CPR should have thanked the kid for sticking with his commitment despite having no idea if anyone on campus can hit him in the numbers with a football on a consistent basis...
