I like the guy, can't help it.

Post game interview, when asked about offensive success as game went on, "really, if you talk about offensive success, you're really talking about execution"

They finished the game with i think 25+ straight runs, and you could see the will being crushed out if the...ahem..."blackshirts". Kinda like we did last year to nebby. It was glorious.

Hornibrook wasn't very good last night, he's accurate and efficient but mostly underneath catch and run stuff. Doesn't throw deep much.

Gotta find more consistency in power run game come Nov. Along with qb pressure and run defense.

Agree.
For those who would like to see the best O line in the B10, watch the replay of 4th qtr of the WI / NEB game last night.

And they did that by staying with the run, even when not super effective thru most of 2.5 qtr. Notwithstanding 75 yard run to close first half.

I want vertical passing, AS in space, wheelroutes, and misdirection...but I also want to wear down teams. We can still do that and I hope we do.

Making a defensive line pass rush a lot and chase the qb on rollouts can really wear on them also and add in screen passes and draws where they are rushing into the backfield then have to stop and turn 180 degrees to chase.

Just ask the hawk 2010 defensive line about getting gassed and worn down against jNW and Ohio St.

The o-line has so many moving parts right now it is hard to develop any communication or consistency.

It would help if someone would emerge as a downhill, yards after contact runner to help the o-line.

Barry Alvarez is to Wisconsin what Bob Devaney was to Nebraska. Great coaches who became great ADs, creating a Camelot period at a school they devoted themselves to. Evy got the first part correct, but not the second part.

This. I agree with.

Are you calling for KF to be AD? Might just be crazy enough to work.

"That's Sports Administration"

Does WUs use zone blocking scheme?

It's pure speculation because it doesn't exist; but does WUs run it 25 straight times if Paul Chryst has a qb like Stanley...or CJ?

Yes. They had Russel Wilson and would still run all the time. They were like 75% run under Bielema.

Roethlisberger just threw another interception.........Oh wait, this is a Hawkeye message board.

Holibrook hasn't played great this year. Even though they run different schemes on offense and defense Iowa/wisky have the same philosophy. For whatever reason Wisky has a larger margin for error.

So, 6 seasons removed from Russell Wilson, they threw the ball 34% of the time. But Hornibrook is no Russell Wilson and I'd take Stanley over Hornibrook every time. Like I said, pure speculation, but I doubt they run it 25 straight plays if they had a qb the caliber of Stanley.

Why not? Nebby couldn't stop it and it ran clock.

Having a great qb wouldn't have changed that.

It is Hornibrook not Holibrook. i am butchering his last name, maybe because he is just not that good.

we can agree to disagree. 25 straight times of passing or running in 2017 isn't normal. But if our OL is as good as everyone thinks it is, then we'd better put up 250+ rush yards on them. Agreed?
