Painful to say....Iowa is mediocre to bad football team this year.

Have to really enjoy that 12-0. Just to many holes this year for whatever reason. Officials were bad today, but good teams should be able to overcome that against mid-tier like competition. Iowa is not good....bad line play both ways....probably a banged up QB, lacking a consistent deep threat....conservative play calling.

And Iowa is not forcing the turnovers like they were last year...hence the bounces going our way. I would say they have been going the other way on us this year.

Just not in the cards.

Can't make 100 yards rushing on Northwestern. Give up almost 200 yards rushing. Going to be a long year.

Iowa hasn't played a good team yet and they cannot stop anyone. OSU is beating Rutgers 58-0. Kind of says all you need to know about how good this Iowa team is. They may win 1 or 2 games the rest of the year.

Just dumbfounded how far Iowa has fallen in 1 year. What the hell happened to this team?

Iowa had a handful of players carry the load last year and make a difference. Some are gone. CJ has been indoctrinated. King is just fine except someone got to him about the fair catches.

I'd expect the real situation on this team to hit the media either this week or next. They don't like one another, and it's obvious. Someone will probably go public with the locker room situation soon.

We were mediocre last year just got the breaks and didn't play anyone. I feel like I just watched James Vandenberg at QB today. We have no leaders on this team and and a staff that doesn't get college football today.

I said this last week. It's obvious to anyone who's played organized sports at a high level that there is internal strife. You don't return the amount of impact players that we've returned from an undefeated regular season and have this result.

We are bad. We were mediocre last year with a bad schedule. When we lose to Minnesota and Purdue, things will turn ugly in a hurry.

I think last year nobody wanted to play Stanford except for KF so they just laid over.n The were afraid KF might not get an extension.

What is really bad. Is there is not a real good explanation for the line play. The defensive line has two experienced seniors. Seniors who were expected to be NFL draft picks. Maybe not early round picks but NFL picks. Yet these guys are getting killed like they are freshmen.

On offense, these guys may not be seniors but they have experience. And they can't even get 100 yards rushing against Northwestern?

The receivers can't get open so CJ gets sacked, the offense gets a 3 and out. And the defense gives up long drives.

Internal strife makes a lot of sense. They lack that fire and emotion that can drive a team lacking the talent of a top 25 team.

This team has one player that would be on the 1st, 2nd or 3rd team all KF team. That's obviously D King. Please do not say Josie would be one. He is a slightly above average B1G LB and IMO the most overrated player in the B1G. The team is simply slow and not athletic. Now it has negative momentum. You put those things together and you have a spiral that probably is not recoverable. If this team makes a bowl, I will be shocked. Minnesota is licking its chops right now. I am not looking forward to going into TCF Bank and watch the beat down they are going to put on Iowa. They are better than NW and FCS NDSU.

My only hope is the Texas recruits realize just how talentless this Iowa team is and they want to be part of something that can be rebuilt. If not, the spiral is going to continue.

Mobe Daniels or Welsh to left tackle please.

Jon got it right Iowa is basically rolling out 5 guards.which is fine for run blocking. Pass blocking is a completely different story. Imo, Croston/Myers footwork are about as good as it is going to get
