That was beyond Ferentz-like with respect to game management. Completely unbelievable. I had absolutely no dog in the fight, but when you see that level of incompetence, it is hard to keep quiet.

Please explain what he did, I see the colts lost on a late or last play of the game. Did he call a timeout to give Philly more time? What did he do?
 
My guess at what the OP is getting at:

Tied ball game 3:25 to go in the game with a chance to win it, Pagano ran it on 1st and 2nd down then Luck had an incomplete pass on 3rd and 5. So they punt and the Eagles get the ball back and drive the field for a game winning FG. The issue was not allowing one of the best young QBs to have more than 1 chance to make something happen to win the game.

Thx, yes very true, unless you have a 4 point lead or better the kickers in the nfl are too good to risk giving up the ball.

If Indy was pounding the rock really well then I see running the ball but if that was not the case you have to throw to get first downs and try to win the game yourself instead of going OT.

Beyond that, his defense was gassed and showed no ability to get a stop on the last few drives. Even beyond that, when it was obvious where the outcome was going, he should have pulled the old let them score and get the ball back to tie. Beyond that, he let 25 seconds run off the clock and then called time out on the last defensive series.

I would have even even gone for it on 4th in my own end, as it would have saved time if you didn't convert.

He's a good story, but there is no way the Colts are making the playoffs with him as coach.

Funny story..."I told my kid he was kind of an inspirational story because he overcame cancer. My kid replied, was it brain cancer?"
 
To be fair the Colts were driving to put the game away and Luck was intercepted on a pass where his receiver was blatantly held. And if you can't rely on your defense to hold a team, you're bound to lose anyway. SEE: Iowa, circa 2010
