P51 Mustangs

Little late with this and probably off the subject. Few hours prior to the Wisconsin game two prop planes were flying in formation over Kinnick. Looked a lot like P51 Mustangs. Anybody know anything about this?

Saw it too, thought they were up there for a fly over, but than there was none.
 
No mistaking the Merlin engine.
Too bad people did not care what was going on. I was frankly getting upset that others didn't care these treasures were around

Probably Packards, but that is a technicality (I agree they sound great) : )

Couple years ago I saw the one airworthy B-29 fly over the fall fest I was at. It. Was. Awesome.

I saw them.. They were bad *** and I am under 60. Was hoping for a fly over but it didn't happen. It would have been more exciting than the game.
