The irony with this situation is that our new coach will only be able to recruit two players to Iowa over the next two classes...one this year, and one the following year. So, the good news is that gives him time to establish contacts recruiting-wise,but the bad news is that he cannot have much impact on our roster the next two years...ouch.
And, while he seems to play fast, he will not have the players to play fast the next few years,really....so, again, Iowa is going to have to be patient,until he gets ''his own players in''....Iowa bb...hurry up and wait.

The only think thats going to be interesting is the pay check....what did it cost and will it cost. If we are paying this guy a ridiculous amount of money coming from Siena then Barta better have moving boxes ready in his office if this new guy has a few bad years

Would that not have been true with any coach brought in? Does he not play up tempo? Who on the roster cannot play up tempo? Tell me Cully, May, Fuller, Cole, Marlbe, Brust, Larson, McCabe, Gatens, Archie and even Cougs, arguably the best shooter on the team, won't benefit from up tempo. We're pretty damn deep which helps, need one more pg, maybe Kaylon, or the recruit from Thomas Moore. I can't wait to see this team.

Cougill is going to have to make a commitment to a strong off season training program to get up and down the floor, IMO

True, Iowa has only one senior leaving... but I question whether Lil'Lick will stay around on scholarship? Just a hunch, maybe someone knows more about this situation but I wouldn't be surprised to see him go- opening up another scholarship opportunity?
