back-to-back big-12 Championship game losses..... Big Game Bo? (pun intended) Hopefully he brings this offensive ineptitude to our game in late November year in and year out!
Pelini is not KF....he will have them up. They will see film on how we wilt under an attacking defense. I'm not over confident in our ability to game plan for this matchup.
We should expect Martinez will be healthy and back full speed.

A couple things about OU's win over Nebraska tonight:
1 - Nebraska did NOT sit on the ball at the end of the first half with a 17-17 tie. Instead, the Huskers drove down and kicked a go-ahead 42-yard FG. (This is NOT the Iowa way under Coach Ferentz. We'd have taken a knee or two and raced to the lockerroom happy to be tied.)
2 - OU's defense picked its spots and blitzed the Husks off of Nebraska, including in the final series when all NU needed was a FG to tie. (Iowa would have played soft corners, NO blitzing, and NU would have found itself in the end zone with a game-winning TD instead of shuffling off with a loss.)
3 - OU's defense forced TO's and had, I believe, 14 tackles for loss totaling about 60 yards. (Iowa's defense probably can't match those stats for the entire season.)
4 - I like the way OU plays and the way Bobby Stoops coaches during the game.
5 - It seemed that both OU and NU were playing to win rather than playing not to lose. (That seems to be the fundamental wish of Iowa fans...not a new system, but a new attitude that is aggressive, that takes intelligent risks, and that plays to win, not to lose close.)

I think Iowa matches up well with Nebraska on both sides of the ball. Iowa's Defense IMO matches up much better for what Nebraska wants to do then Mizzou...

Agree. Georgia Tech was the best possible matchup for us last year--a team that couldn't pass to save it's life. Iowa-Neb could be great, hope it happens.

If NU doesn't turn the ball over they likely win going away. I don't know what to make of a matchup with NU? I'm afraid our D will make them better than they are and our O will be the same against their D
