OT: Wisconsin vs. Florida on ESPN 2

5 minutes in and I'm bored watching Wisconsin play. 30 seconds a possession and stone cold to start the game. Settling on a lot of bad jump shots.

Let's go Gators
 






Just can't cheer for Wisconsin or Ill.... Mich State, Ohio State, Michigan, I can cheer.... but not those two.
 










Bye Bye top 25, badgers......

What a pathetically boring team to watch.....

Only reason I keep watching is to see the slaughter.....

Truly heartwarming......

Any Badger fans watch the game......?
 






It will be interesting to continue watching them throughout the year. I wouldn't expect other teams to shoot like Florida has shot against them tonight. Still, Murphy had his way with them, and they are very slow rotating on defense. Losing Gasser may be too much for them to overcome this season.

And yes, they are boring to watch. Kinda like Iowa football. You can handle the style as long as you're winning.
 


I'm sure activebugger will make an appearance here eventually to give us his positive badger spin on this 18 point loss. I took a glance at the Wisconsin Scout forum and they have a three page post ripping Iowa after beating CMU. He likes telling his little badger buddies how we are all thinking that Adam Woodbury is going to be the next Zeller this year. Funny, I've missed all those posts. In any event, it appears that we are on their minds up in buckyland.

Couldn't be any more wrong. Here was my prediction before the game (I predicted a 10-14 point loss:

When another team hits 81% against you in the first half that is a statistical anomaly that is not something to get overly worked up about. As I said in my prediction, breaking in a new PG and another new guard on the road against a Top 10 team is a recipe for trouble. Eric Murphy had a great game but I'd give you odds that Florida doesn't hit 81% of their shots in an open gym with nobody guarding them.

Our defense needs to get better but it will. Sam Dekker needs to see more minutes, he will.

We'll be fine. We lost to Duke by 30 points in 2008 and won 30 games and the conference. Sometimes a good old fashioned butt kicking is a great teaching tool. That's what it was tonight, a good old fashioned butt kicking.

That's why they play the games.

I know this, Wisconsin will have been highly tested after our non-conference season. We will have played on the road in national profile types of games and that can only help us in the BIG.

Are you talking about tonight, or about Dec 31, 2011? I mean, the circumstances are so eerily similar that it's very difficult to tell.
