totally big time push off by Rudolph in the endzone in OT. No call by officials and they may have been blocked out BUT with the new rule the booth replay people can review it and call it Off PI.

But no call.

Check out the replay and let us know what you think. I hate to see these games get totally messed up by officials that end up determining the game or possibly determining the game. Rudolph totally extended his arm to the chest of the Dback and the Dback's head and chest whipped back. To me it was Off PI. NFL still cant get it right .

And full disclosure I am not a fan of either of those two teams and wasnt pulling for either one.

I hate it after the game when the studio talking head analysts, the former players, say 'it was a push off but you are not going to overrule that TD at that stage of the game". If there is a foul or penalty that is very apparent that totally affects the game outcome it needs to be called.

Saints shot themselves in the foot more times than can be counted and deserved to lose that game. Drew Brees played like Kirk Cousins and Kirk Cousins played like Drew Brees.

Last year they got robbed, this year they have themselves to blame.

If they would have called that they would have needed to call PI on almost every pass play. They may have called it on Rudolph if he used both arms to push off but I did not see it that way

Clicked on another article with a headline of how the Saints were screwed by officials, expecting them to talk about the PI. Instead I read this.

Early in overtime, the Vikings had the ball at the 44-yard line. Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins dropped back for a pass and stepped up to avoid pressure. But as Cousins was stepping up, left tackle Riley Reiff clearly held a Saints defender by his jersey to keep him from hitting the quarterback.

No penalty flag was thrown though, and what could have been a major move backwards instead opened the door for the Vikings to keep marching.

I didnt watch a lot of the game, a few minutes here and there and then the last 7 minutes of regulation and OT. Yeah that bust pass block that led to Brees getting hit and fumbling in the last few minutes was pretty bad mistake.

No

It is driving 40, when the speed limit is 35. Letting the play stand is the right move. The refs in the Rose Bowl please take note.

No PI.

The LB was flailing and a full step behind the entire route.

I didn't think it was really that much of a push off. Probably a little bit but not enough to get flagged for at that point of the game.
Yup. Plus in the aftermath of Bounty-Gate, New Orleans is lucky to even have a team. Not that there would be any kind of justice in the billionaire playground that is the NFL.

If you’re gonna be fair then you need to start a thread about this as well. Saints fans want to have their cake, eat it, AND file “lawsuits.”

If you watched the ENTIRE PLAY, there was hand fighting and pushing going on BOTH WAYS, and the Rudolph "final push" was the reciprocation of the dback pushing and being into Rudolph's chest. Would/should have been offsetting, so no call was the way to go.
