OSU

Wow how a couple weeks have changed them. However, lets be honest how were they rated so high? THey are not a good offensive team, never were at all this season. Their defense is slipping due to their poor offense. I for one love seeming them lost on the floor and Matta just turning red, sweating and doing his Butler Impression :p

Dunno, but they are now non factors in the conf race. Even if they go on a monster run 2nd half of the season, they will just have too many losses.

Short answer, reputation.

Their signature win vs a 10-8 Marquette team.

And fools like BTN Dienhart and Decoursey touting Craft as 3rd team All-American, why, what tOSU has done the last 2 yrs, and not what they've done this yr.

Same reason traditionally good basketball and football schools are ranked preseason and early in the season. Past success and dog non conference schedule.

Agreed. Kenpom and the computer rankings use only 2013 data while the analog Polls like AP and Coaches polls are antiquated.

They are 17th on Kenpom after tonight's loss. They have played 4 of their 1st 6 conference games on the road. A couple home games should get them back on track but they're not a top 15 team IMO. Their offensive woes will likely be with them all year.

Mike Decoursey seems to have something against Iowa... Watch his facial expressions when he talks about the Hawks. He had a smirk (not the first time I've seen when he's mentioning Iowa) on his face the other night when he was mentioning Iowa and Minnesota as not having elite defenses... I think they were talking about the OSU losses.

While they may have worked their way out of contention for a championship, hopefully they can still win some games at home to help the Hawks out.

Agreed. All was fine with Buckeyes, even after losing @MSU in overtime. They had a shot to win that game at the end of regulation. Then they are up by Iowa by 9 midway through the second half on their home court. Since that point, they have basically gone away and done nothing. Losing @Minnesota and @Nebraska is nothing to be ashamed of, especially Minnesota. At this point they look like a bubble team, but they have some serious issues especially on offense.
