OSU players sold/traded 36 items

According to the report Justice Dept. notified The Ohio State in December - prior to the bowl game. NCAA should come down on the Buckeyes like a ton of bricks - TOSU administrators & coaches knew about these allegations way before the bowl game yet still negotiated a deal to allow those players to participate in the bowl game - you've got to wonder if TOSU administrators were totally forthcoming with the NCAA during that period of time. Or, it may be another example of splineless NCAA.
Remember Tarkanian's comment, something to the effect "when the NCAA catches the big boys cheating they put Cleavland State on probation." Not his exact words but pretty close. Either TOSU did a cover-up or NCAA is asleep at the wheel. Or both!!!!!!

How the heck did they not get the lack of institutional control charge?

It may still happen but this whole thing stinks and I think the ncaa may have put themselves into a tough situation by allowing those guys to play in the bowl game.
