orangebloods look back at big 12 missle crisis

I think it's a really good article and I love looking back over that whole moment in time however I hate how Chip Brown is trying to make himself out to be this all knowing being who was right in the middle of it all. If he was in the middle it's only because Texas was pulling his strings.

You are exactly right - Chip Brown was used as a mouthpiece/pawn by DeLoss Dodds.

He's not trying to act like he was an insider who was in the middle of it all. He WAS an insider who was in the middle of it all.

He was a pawn, no more, no less. He tried to play it out like he was Sherlock Holmes. In all reality he was just Inspector Gadget...minus the gadgets.

Round 2 will happen within the next 5 year and will include Missouri for sure and either Notre Dame, Pittsburgh, Maryland or Kansas.

Any of those teams would be great. ND, Pitt, Mizzou, and Kansas would be my picks. Is there any new news that has given hints that next year is the year expansion is going to happen? I don't understand why the Big 12 doesn't try to get back to 12 teams to help that league survive. The Big 12 conference schedule is brutal this year.

Colt McCoy's wife causes a stir on radio - CBSSports.com

People in Texas are just being friendly and they don't mean anything by it at all. They don't realize most of the time it is a violation. Texas is very clear with their players ... You cannot expect 19- to 20-year-old men to not accept free stuff while they're in college ... There's no way that college kids can really, honestly say no to all this stuff ... It's hard for a lot of these guys to even know ... I saw so many of his teammates who maybe didn't have some of that self-control to be able to say no to somebody. It's hard because you've got adults who you respect who you think will know what's right and what's wrong ... You do what adults say; that's how you're taught. So you have adults offering things, promising the world, doing all this stuff: we're taught to go along with that. That's the respectful thing to do. It's interesting to see adults really putting kids in these positions where they're taught to agree and go along and respect.

Not to mention, he was wrong on quite a few things when this was going down.

Edit: texa$$ is getting $15 mil a year for this piece of crap? Are you freaking kidding me? Wow......
