Just curious if anyone has access to stats in terms of starting field position and the resulting outcomes (punt/FG/TD/turnover) between this year and last year. It seems a lot of people are complaining about kickoff coverage and how it has put the defense in a tough spot. Heck, I would even throw in our punting unit as I don't believe Donahue has nearly as many kicks downed inside the 15 this year which is one of this "hidden yard" stats I have heard Kirk speak of in years past.
I'm just wondering how those stats compare to say the starting field positions of last year after a Stanzi interception or the offense going three and out from deep in their own territory forcing a 40yd punt, etc. as it seems to me that at least some of this year's scoring drives against the Iowa defense have been 70-80yd marches while last year I recall many of the scores coming on 30-40yd drives.
