This is a great question. You all may not be familiar with this area of the country, but I was born and raised in West Philadelphia. Now, I can't say that I know the entire city all that well, because I spent most of my days on the playground. Having said that, I didn't know a single person from Philly (as we natives call it) that listened to country music.

A side note: One of my favorite memories from growing up in Philly was when my friends and I were shootin' some b-ball outside of the school, when none other than our idol, Dr. J, came to talk with us. He sat us down and told us to make the right choices, and that, if we don't, we can still make it. We asked him if he had any regrets, and he said that his one big regret was not going to Iowa State to play basketball. He always wondered how good he could have been had he made the right choice.
