It could have been a trap game, but with Iowa losing to Michigan and with Northwestern playing well as of late, I don't think Iowa will look past them. Iowa has the better players and is more athletic.

This. I was more concerned about Northwestern if we beat Michigan and then had the showdown with MSU looming over head. I think the loss humbles us and gets the focus back. I feel much better about Northwestern, that said they still need to find their "A" game on the road.

Who is going to take over Iowa's spot in the top ten? Teams near 10 (Wisky and Umass lost last night, Nova lost by 28 at Creighton) -- losing on the road at a ranked/undefeated B1G team will not have that big of an impact on the polls. ISU lost at unranked Oklahoma, beat an overrated Baylor team and moved up 2 spots in the polls.

NW worries me not from a talent standpoint, but from the way they were successful last time in making an ugly mess of the game.

Those kinds of teams can be tough to beat at times. And we all know how officiating is on the road.

Yes, definitely need a get good game against NW. Personally, I'm not worried about NW at all. Especially after losing to Mich. I think the Hawks are gonna curb stomp em.
