The attrition at wide receiver has trapped the Hawkeyes all season. Only one of 10 receivers recruited from 2013 through 2016 played on offense Saturday. You can’t win that way.

Not really, because shitty at their position or not, there should still be receivers on the team without having to go shopping JUCO kids.

Falconer and VB were the only upperclassman receivers on scholarship at the beginning of the year. Only one of those guys is even serviceable at WR (at best). That problem goes deeper than coaching.

It's their own fault, obviously. If they can't put in the work and bulk up to serve their primary purpose as blockers then they won't see the field.
