One thing to consider about losing to Minny....they did play USC tough

True that above. But somewhere inside those lowly gophers, they did show they were capable of playing a good competitive game against a traditionally good team.

That said, yes, Iowa should have won the game. No question about it. But, you can't let a poor team hang around....

Iowa dominated this game except on the scoreboard where it matters most. They were about to take a decisive advantage in the 3rd and then Vandy gets sacked and fumbled. That was huge. And of course the on side kick, the rest is history. Bad loss, suck it up and move on to Michigan who beat them 58-0(sorry, had to mention that).

Nothing personal, but quit rationalizing it and making it seem better than it was. There is no excuse for not beating this team by at least two touchdowns. They are awful, and we made them look decent by playing and coaching terrible today.

Like I said, Iowa should have won.......but Minny did show earlier in the season they could play some ball with USC. Iowa let a poor team hang around and got beat.

The point of the post is Minny had the ability somewhere in them to be capable if we did not take of business.

There are no morale victories in this loss. Iowa dominated Minnesota on offense, pushed them around the entire first half, and only came away with 7 points. They should have been up 21-7 at halftime easily!
