One of our biggest problems

Okay. This is going to sound elementary to most of you I imagine. It's nothing new and has been noticed by everybody. But I really started thinking about it as the game wound down last night.

One of the biggest problems we've had is not getting to the free throw line. I remember under Mr. Davis, that was one of our biggest weapons. Hell, a lot of seasons we made more free throws than our opponents attempted. It's not like we had the greatest athletes or shooters in the world under Davis either. But we were able to combat that weakness by attacking the rim and getting free points at the line. I can remember winning games under Davis we really had no business winning. And the reason was usually because of free throws.

Under Lick, we pretty much have to rely on pin point accuracy shooting the ball to have a chance. There are no easy or garbage points. There are no free throws. No fast break points. We basically have no margin for error.

With the exception of a dunk attempt by Cole, the 3 pointer is the lowest percentage shot we can really take. If that is a key component to your offense, you had better have some opportunities for freebies. Otherwise this is the result.

i think the problem is we don't do the fake 3 pass to the guy that is fake boxing out. i loved that play.
