Nebraska will probably get Scott Frost
Purdue got Brohm, he's already beat Iowa
Minnesota got Fleck, I actually believe he'll get things rolling unfortunately
Wisconsin is just flat out in a better class than Iowa

So we're on track to 5th place annually in the DIVISION.

Would you hire (or retain) based on this resume? So we can't do better than this? Iowa has been more than fair in standing behind Ferentz. Change should start with a new AD. One that believes we should be aiming for something much higher.

I'm not sure Iowa is all that better than Northwestern, so maybe move them down to 6th. Fitz has a two year winning streak on Kurt.

We're just Iowa. We can't expect to do better.
 
Unless Bob Stoops is ready to come out of retirement, I’m not ready for Kirk to retire.

I feel more comfortable with than Kirk than I do the unknown.

The line has to get better but we are young.

My biggest concern is WR. We need more physical guys.

McNutt, DJK, KMM, Smith

I mean I can name off TE, RB, Lineman, DB, DL that have all went on to play in the NFL. Even at QB with Stanzi and now CJ. Have we ever had a WR stay in the NFL?

That’s the biggest weakness in my opinion that has to be addressed.

been saying that about the OL for the past 4 seasons; even with Brandon Scherff.

but it is kirks philosophy about the WR position that appears to be the biggest obstacle in landing top notch WR's.
 
So tired hearing all the media people claim that without Kirk we turn into Kansas. Hell, I wish we could lure Bill Snyder back to U of I. Even at his age he has 10 times the energy and excitement than New Kirk.
 
Gonna float Mike Yurrich out there as a name for Head Coach. Recruiting ties in Oklahoma texas Midwest Pennsylvania. Offensive guru who loves to teach. Gettable guy.

Keep in mind that you buy 3 wins a year, and play Illinois, NW, and MN, and Purdue every year. There's enough wiggle room that Iowa always goes bowling. There's almost no way to do worse than 6-7 every year.

And, I'm pretty sure Kirk is related to the Captain who steered the Titanic right into the iceburg. God knows there isn't a wall that the Ferentz family won't attempt to avoid....even if it means complete disaster because it is doing it the right way. Let's stretch Wadley's legs one more time right up the middle.
