So we played OC, what about DC?
Have to stop Gordan from getting outside. He is dynamic, but far less in a phone booth.

Whoever has the edge on end of the line, DEnd or Outside Lbkr, has to get a step into the backfield and hold that edge/leverage. If they are going wide make the tackle, or turn them back into the 'phone booth' or make him go deeper to the outside to give teammates a chance to get them.

The other thing is to be Mr Obvious and cover your gaps and assignments. I think Wisky still likes to pull some linemen so try not to get trapped by pulling guard or overpowered in the hold.

All of this easier said than done. go hawks

Go with a 5 man front to seal the ends. 2nd man in on tackles tries for the strip ... we will need some turnovers.

Seal the edge by any means necessary, run/gap blitz, zone in the middle with a Safety up(or both). DB's play man. If the qb's have a great day and beat us, so be it...but scheme to slow Gordon however you can.

LB have to step up, period. Our biggest weakness this year on defense is the LB's being out of position, caught in the wash, overpursuing, taking bad angles, and simply being lost in coverage. I won't call a player out, but man, c'mon.

The Wisconsin line is huge and you won't out muscle them. We needs guys that can get into the backfield and make tackles with some speed.
