Yeah, with probably a slap on the wrist, if anything. If past "punishments" are any indication, that is.
The Bible Belt is insanely effective in covering-up their malfeasance. They know how to twist the whole laws of God vs laws of man thing in a way to justify any action. And if they feel any unease, they pray for forgiveness and keep trudging straight ahead, business as usual, while also operating under a persecution complex.
So true. The story on Bleacher Report about the SEC Bagmen made it crystal clear how the ''culture'' in that region not only tolerates cheating, but encourages it. It is a culture that willingly exploits black players for Saturday thrills, and never expect or assume that they would ever want a true education...but assuage any guilt by saying...''givem some cash, they deserve that until they get hurt or cannot get playing time'' then cast them aside with contempt for the entire race....it is sad.

Big time college football has a problem. Desire to win, to be relevant, to build the program, to ensure ongoing success - both by the admin, coaches and boosters all have an almost irresitable temptation to side step the rules. I just don't see how the top programs can attract the best players without having some kind of illicit recruiting apparatus. The Oklahoma State's dont have 50 years of winning tradition behind them like OU, Texas, Ohio State, Alabama etc. The powerhouses have well oiled machines that don't have to overheat to get top talent. The machine works quietly behind the scene. They are attractive in the first place.

Boise, Oregon and Oklahoma State all strike me as programs that are likely dirtier than my underwear after the Frontier Days chili cookoff (Fort Dodge, IA) when there is no toilet paper in the restroom and I have been sweating profusely all day. Of course, we can reasonably presume many of the other big programs are filthy as well bince Alabama just happens to waltz into Georgia, Texas, Weesiana and even Iowa to get top players, but I agree that the upstarts are bringing a new level of dirty to the table. I'm kind of worried for Iowa State. They are a program on the rise and with Mangino in there, they are gonna get really good and will be under a microscope.

Oregon has taken dirty recruiting classes from Professor's Schnellenberger and Erickson, and basically created the death star of college recruiting, evil to the core.

Where there is smoke there is fire in cases like this. OSU has not really been relevant in football since maybe in the 80s or so ... Same goes for Oregon ... When I lived in Oregon in the early 90s you would never have know they even had college football in the state... Baylor? Texas A&M /// New facilities ... becoming somewhat overnight sensations ... You don't do that without signing some "questionable" individuals...
Saw earlier this week that 1/3 of South Carolina's incoming class might not even be eligible ... Some schools don't even try to front being an academic institution ... Seriously ... some of these dudes that get interviewed can't even talk in a complete sentence ... And per a recent book I read that took an in-depth look at college football ... several (even 1 is too many) read at about a 6th grade level ... Sad ... unfortunate ... but hey, as long as you can play ball ....
