Okay I'm lost

It's been a month or two since I've read anything about the Big Ten expansion, but it seems to be blowing up and turning into a complete restructure of several conferences. Last I heard, the Big Ten was going to add 2-5 teams to make a superconference, with Rutgers, Notre Dame, Mizzou, Nebraska, Syracuse being among the teams in discussion.

Now they've offered Nebraska and Mizzou to join? And what's this about the Pac-10, when did they jump in? They're trying to add teams as well, like Texas? And wait a second, Texas could also go to the Big Ten? And what if the Big Ten AND Pac-10 steal a couple teams from the Big 12, do they go back to being Big 8? (they did have just 8 teams awhile back, right?)
Or will they try to pick up other teams?

What's going on?? How much is message board speculation, and how much is fact??

You've missed a lot. Too hard to catch you up on all the speculation. But the rumors coming out that the Pac 10 is inviting six from the Big 12 is very legit. Not a lot known on the Big 10 side, but Texas, Nebraska and Notre Dame are certainly teams the Big 10 is considering. Doesn't seem like Texas wants in the Big 10 though.

To get caught up read the Orangebloods articles linked in Jon's thread about expansion today.
