Ok so if we beat MSU how much does that likely bump us up in BCS?

Is a win over number 5 worth a bump of 3-5 spots? Could we be back in the top 15 again with just this win? And if we win out, that should almost for sure get us back into at least the top 12 for sure right?

depends who else loses ... I could see us getting as high as #12 ... that said, not counting on a win, just yet
(although the Hawks have never lost to MSU when I've been present, and I'm not ready to start now)

You are starting to heal right in front of our very eyes!

By Wednesday you will have us back in the Rose Bowl :)

Hey, you read me wrong, I am not a doomsdayer, but that special-teams effort and was awful, and the defensive adjustments were non-existent

you know what else really mad me seething mad was the officiating, but I haven't see that discussed much here

----------------

back to the subject ... having an 8-0 MSU coming to town after that game is just what we need to make sure we are not dwelling on the past, it's probably just a true for a fan like me as it is for the players/coaches

no, I qualified that by saying if we get the same special teams effort, or lack thereof ... I expect KF to do SOMETHING about that this week

I also said that I am not confident in any of the other games, that doesn't mean I think we will lose, that means I had been expecting we would win, and now I am not so sure

And yet when I say people shouldn't "expect" 10 or 11 wins a year you tell me I should be an ISU fan.

Umm. Not sure why BCS rankings matters at all anymore. We need Wisconsin to lose and win out and we got the rose bowl. If we win out and wisky doesn't lose we probably go to Sugar, lose another and we're talking outback/cap one. if it's a 3-way tie between msu/wisky/iowa it won't even get to the bcs tiebreaker, so not sure why bcs ranking matter to anybody right now.

absolutely incorrect. In the event of any 3 way tie the BCS standings determines the Rose Bowl participant...

I said it wouldn't GET TO the BCS standings tiebreaker. If Iowa/Wisky/MSU are all tied at 7-1. We would be eliminated by our overall record, which is the tiebreaker before BCS standings.
