OK everyone - time to stop writing B1G for Big Ten

Here's the problem I have. If you are thinking in your head "Big Ten," it seems to me it would be faster to type out Big 10 or Big Ten rather than going through all the extra thought and effort to turn the thought "Big Ten" into the typed "B1G." Just seems like way more effort than it is worth. Although, I guess Jon has to worry about how much space on his servers every letter is taking up, so typing B1G might save him some money.

Gotta agree with the OP. I don't like the "B1G" logo. It doesn't even make sense. How is someone supposed to see a logo that says "B1G" and know that it represents the "Big Ten"? When people started saying "B1G" all the time, I didn't know at first what people were talking about.

IMO if you have to explain the logo to people so they understand it, then it's a crappy logo.

What's wrong with creating a stylish looking logo that says "Big Ten" instead of getting cute with the design and trying to create something "clever"?

I hated it at first too. But its kinda gaining on me. It reminds me how I felt with other new age way of naming things like, iPod, Wii.

Plus its shorter.
