In USA today, Ohio State is number 16. Interesting how OSU gets beat and falls to 16 from number 1 and Alabama falls to number 8 and they both get beat like a rented mule by teams with similar rankings in the polls. Yea, no bias going on by the voters at all...

you have to remember, when a top team in the SEC loses, its because there is such balance in the conference. when a top team in the big ten loses, its because they really aren't as good as people said they were, and a sign that the conference is down. c'mon every sports writer who are obviously so knowledgeable about this stuff and right so often would know this.

Ohio State is not #16. They're #10 in the BCS and the USA Today/coach poll.

What I don't get is...why is tOSU ranked one spot higher than Wisconsin in the USA Today poll? If they're going to be that close, shouldn't they just be swapped? They have the same record, and tOSU lost head to head...

I remember when Bama lost, they had the postgame breakdown after all the games were completed and the "big question" was, "Will Alabama fall all the way to FOUR?!" Heavens to Murgatroy! The ESPN crew basically made it sound like they'd probably fall behind Oregon and Nebraska but would maintain a spot ahead of Boise State. It's incredible how much Kool-Aid there seems to be these days.
