Rob, if you see this can you find the link you posted a few weeks ago as to how these football experts fared last year in their predictions and repost it?

Thanks. Just curious too see how this Nate Davis fella did. Kind of crazy to think about them both going Top 9, but maybe he has some good info/connections post-combine.

That'd be pretty darn nuts... Those teams up there have other holes to fill and with all the Dlineman that are rated so highly it'd surprise me if they both went that high. The TE position in the NFL lately has really evolved and how valuable having a good one is has really risen. (just look at the Cowboys not only bringing Witten back but for 5 million bucks They have a ton of salary cap issues with trying to sign Lawrence but they go and do that) So for 2 TEs to go in the top 10 with a 3rd most likely going in the first round with no running backs at all seems a bit out there.

It helps that there are no elite WR prospects in the draft. Brown from Oklahoma didn't participate in the combine. If he has a pro day and works out well, that could lower the TEs draft positions.

Maybe the Ole Miss WRs could have great pro days and move up. Hockenson is probably the best pass catcher out there right now. And Fant has a great size/speed combo for a WR. Top 10 may be a stretch though, we'll see.

I still think TE is a luxury position in the NFL. QB, WR, DE, OLB, & CB are significantly valued more, but when there are no WRs that are clearly better, you probably should look at Fant and Hockenson.

Of course it depends on the team and how their roster is constructed too. The Eagles aren't drafting a TE. If they do it won't be till 6th or 7th round. They have 2 good ones already. So it all just depends. The 9ers could surely use a 2nd TE bad. But they also have a need at WR. Shannahan would love to get a stud WR but I don't see them passing on Bosa to take Metcalf that high. They'd have to trade down a little ways at least and I couldn't see them taking for what to them would be a #2 TE over a #1 WR

I'd surprised if Sweat doesn't go in the top 10 - a DT with his size and speed are pretty rare and the NFL sees the DL as a premium only after QBs.

Agreed. I don't follow NFL teams, much less their draft needs but I'b bet $50 that they aren't drafted within the first 10 picks. 2 TEs off the board that early has never happened before.

I almost don't want either of them to go that high. Because then the expectations go through the roof for them. Middle to late first round seems to be the obvious places for them to go and that's usually the right answer is the most obvious one.
