How much longer do we let this cat hoist up bricks every game?

3-11 today and 2-8 from 3. He's shooting 29% from the field and 27% from 3. It's getting ridiculous that Fran keeps sending him out there for 20 minutes a game. He's a liability.

Nothing I wrote breaks any of the forum rules. Feel free to disagree but the kid can't shoot. The numbers prove it.

1 reb 3 assist 2 steals. J.O. was a large reason why Iowa was able to get the lead. The bench played pretty awesome today.

I didn't say you broke anything. It's old and the 50th thread on Oglesby. Just bump an old one. This team played completely different after he came in the game and hit that 3, his D was absolutely terrific and he had multiple assists. Ended with 8 points I think. Nothing wrong with that.

That's fine, I like steals and assists too. Why did he need to take 11 shots though?

He is shooting 29% in the most competitive conference top to bottom in college basketball.. I bet you couldnt shoot 29% in your driveway with no one guarding you!!! Leave the kid alone.. the only way he is going to get his shot back is for the coach to believe in him and for him to keep hoisting shots.

We don't need the worst shooter (percentage) on the team to be taking the second most shots. It makes no sense.

This entire team has struggled shooting this year. He took that many shots because they were good looks. He doesn't hoist that many shots every game.

The 29% includes 13 non conference games against one of the weakest schedules in decades. You're right, I can't shoot 29%, that's why when I ball I don't shoot 11 times a game.

The offense flowed much better with him in there, especially over dev. Wish Fran had brought him in late instead of dev which I'm still baffled by...

Agree 100% The line up need to be brought down to 8 or nine players.

Sometimes he is the only player that moves without the ball on offense, which makes the defense move, so regardless he is making a difference out there. I have absolutely no problems with JO in the game. I also do not think he is a liability in any other aspect of his game.

When it's your 3-point specialist (unlike most on the board I still think Josh is a serviceable shooter), yes I am. When you're the shooter you shoot when you're open. It's not like he was taking ridiculous drives and bricking layups or turning it over, like we've seen "some players" do this season.

My only complaint is the 11 shots. I'm all for him being out there doing good things, he shouldn't be shooting.
