Oglesby - "he makes them in practice"

That is funny though. When Iverson said that it was hilarious and really told the difference between being a pro coach or a college coach. And why some good college coaches can coach in the pros and others cant.

It is too bad that Josh O just hasnt hit his shots. I really wish he would fake his 3 ptr, drive to the elbow and take the 15 footer, he seems better at hitting that and it is a good shot to take

He is a good kid but we cannot just sit around as a program hoping in year 4 that he will knock down some big shots. How many opponents have we seen both good and bad have players that can knock down an open 3? I can count on my hand the number of really good shooting games he has had in 4 years.

The ship has sailed for him. Better off playing Jok, Uhl and Ellenson to see what you have there.

I have no interest in seeing Josh on the floor again before senior night. He's essentially Ellingson, only Ellingson has a much greater upside and can make his shots.

Agreed! We've seen enough of Oglesby to conclude he's not a B1G caliber player. Ellingson and Jok need to see more minutes.

Practice is a simulation. The game is for real. Josh 95% of the time does not perform well in the real game.

I haven't seen the minutes played stat but it sure seems like Jok has passed Josh on the depth chart. Ellingson had an injury problem that he's just coming back from so it's still a good possibility he will pass him as well.

I think Fran sent Oges a message by leaving him in so long for garbage time against Alcorn State.

Right now, we are the worst wide open 3 point shooting team in the country. I've never seen college players who have a wide open 19 foot jump shot and clank it. I'm 52, and I take my 13 year old to YMCA to work on his game with him. We have 3 point shooting contests where you get 20 shots in succession and you see who makes the most. At 52, I made 12, 8, and 14 the other day from the college line.

Granted no one is guarding me and I'm not running the floor against that level of competition...but these guys practice all year round and are in shape. If you are wide open, which Ogs is, how in the hell do you miss 13 straight? I'm telling you...that's hard to do if you have a good shooting motion. It's damn near impossible if that is what you are known for.

I hate to say the time has come...but you can't play him if he doesn't make them...give the minutes to Jok and Uhl.

In our seats last night we were talking amongst ourselves about how hard it would be to miss 13 in a row from 3 being a 3 point shooter. Not a single one going down even by the luck of a bounce!

Low and behold when the game is completely over in the last minutes he drains a 3 and a 2 with nothing but net. This kid has to struggle mentally as much as anything. It is why I hate it for him but you can not go forward counting on him.

I am guessing if Josh hasn't "found his shot" by now it simply is not going to happen. If he can't make shots then it is time to give minutes to others and let them try.

I agree with all of the above. Uhl has some talent so lets get him experience and he might help us win a few games.

Give Jok a bunch of minutes and Ellingson a few minutes each half.

Fran, it is time to not feel it is tough to sit a senior
