Officials "reprimanded" for poor performance in Wisconsin game

First, to be clear, the poster who said the officials for the Wisconsin/ASU game were from the Big Ten was incorrect. They were in fact Pac 12 officials. They have been severely reprimanded for poor performance at the end of the game. They did not, according to conference officials, get the ball placed and in play within a reasonable time. The Wisconsin QB did in fact down the ball in an appropriate manner...this determined by the conference officials after viewing film post game. BTW, I live in Wisconsin but would be very happy if they never won another football or basketball game. I just read this story in the Sheboygan Press a few minutes ago.

Honestly if any time for the shaft like this I would feel for them. No game should be lost because of the garbage circus these refs pulled. I still think they should be fired.

that took long enough. it was pretty obvious. well, i guess they'll still ref PAC12 games, since they basically won the game for ASU and all.

What does a "severe" reprimand consist of? (do they get yelled at a little louder?)

I really do not care much about Wisconsin but I can only imagine the hell that would have broken loose around here had the same thing happened to Iowa. Wisconsin may not have a BCS caliber team this year, but it is possible that this loss could have cost Wisc. a BCS bid, meaning millions of dollars for the school and conference.

Any crew that doesn't call the Wisconsin OL for holding, on the first 7 or 8 plays, deserves to be reprimanded. Severely.

They should be they cost the Badgers the game. I can't believe how the refs let that last play go
